Alba Bagpipes is a multi-award-winning professional Scottish entertainment company based in the North East of Scotland, specialising in traditional Scottish music for all types of events. Whether it's a wedding, funeral, Burns Supper, birthday party, St. Andrew's Day celebration, or Hogmanay, we create a unique, uplifting atmosphere with the iconic sound of the Great Highland Bagpipe.
With the largest number of professional pipers, side drummers, and tenor drummers in the region, Alba Bagpipes is home to some of the world’s most talented musicians. Many of our pipers have won major championships, including World, European, UK, British, and Scottish titles. Our performers play in renowned bands like The Red Hot Chilli Pipers, Inveraray & District Pipe Band, TEXO Deeside Caledonia Pipe Band, Portlethen & District Pipe Band, and Cupar Angus Pipe Band. They’ve also graced prestigious events such as the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo and performed alongside André Rieu’s Johann Strauss Orchestra.
In addition to our pipers, we offer professional Highland dancers and guitarists/singers to complement any event. We also produce The Granite City Scottish Music Show, a fully Scottish music show packed with piping, dancing, and top-tier entertainment. Thanks to our strong connections with local pipe bands, we can easily arrange a full pipe band performance for any occasion.

History of Alba Bagpipes
Alba Bagpipes was founded by Barry Evans, a Scottish bagpiper with over 30 years of experience. In early 2010, Barry combined his recent university degree with his passion for piping, leading to the creation of Alba Bagpipes. Over the years, Barry has had the privilege of performing with some of the North East of Scotland’s finest pipe bands, including Oldmeldrum R.B.L, Grampian Police Pipe Band, Buchan Pipe Band, Deeside Caledonia, and, most recently, Police Scotland Fife.
In late 2016, Barry passed the full leadership of Alba Bagpipes to his younger brother, Rikki Evans. Under Rikki’s leadership, the company continues to uphold the same high standards of professionalism and service that Barry established from the very beginning.
